Our team progressed to the quarter final of the GFA cup thanks to an easy victory of 4-0 against second division side Zebbug Rovers. All goals were scored in the 1st half and in the 2nd half the team administered the comfortable lead obtained in the 1st half. The goals were scored by Edinson, Steve Dimech, Kenneth Mercieca and again Steve Dimech. Four regular players (caring a slight injury or rested) did not play in this game and thus space was given to young players to show there worth. Surely youngster Steve Dimech took the opportunity given!

Our team succeeded in halting Xewkija's who had won all the matches prior to this one. It was a show of defiance, of not wanting to throw the towel of not wanting to finish on the losing side but above all to prove a point to everyone. One must also keep in mind that our team played for an hour with a player less and this severely crippled our chances of winning this match.
Having back in the starting line the three players that missed the game against Xaghra United the coach made some tactical changes as regards the positioning of the players. These changes gave more stability to the team and the team dictated matters up to the dismissal of Joseph Vella. In fact Xewkija took the lead against the run of play through a free kick by Elton Vella...

Our team succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to newly promoted Xaghra United. It was a balanced encounter and victory could have gone either way. In fact both teams had their good patches and missed some good scoring opportunities. Missing Joseph Refalo, Chris Sciortino and Simon Gatt our team looked a bit weakened and sometimes found it difficult to establish itself in midfield. At the back we lacked confidence and solidity. In front Edinson had a another good match and continuously put Xaghra rear guard under pressure. He was systematically fouled and many were of the opinion that Xaghra were lucky not to have one of their players sent off. It was a pity seeing Edinson limping out of the match in the last 8 minutes of the encounter. He will be a major doubt for next encounter against Xewkija Tigers.
As regards the...

Our team won its first league match against reigning champions Sannat Lions 1-0. Edinson Estrada Sanchez scored what was to be the winning goal. Our boys missed numerous scoring opportunities. They could have put the match away from Sannat reach but they did not succeed to do so and so kept everyone within the blue camp on their toes till the last whistle of the referee. The goal arrived at around the 30th minute thanks to the persistence of Eman Bugeja who won three consecutive 50/50 balls passed the ball to Joseph Vella who released Estrada the later putting past Sannat's keeper with a low shot.
Our coaches had to reshuffle the team since skipper Joseph Refalo, Chris Sciortino were missing due to a 2 match suspension together with Nicholas Vella (abroad). After a shaky start the team settled down...

Our team was eliminated in the semi final of the Independence Cup from Xewkija Tigers. It was a well fought semi final but our boys will surely feel gutted as they dominated procedures for long stretches of the game. It was only in 3 minutes of the second half that our team lost composure after missing some good chances and also hit the cross bar found themselves 2-0 down and with a player less. Still our boys refused to throw the towel and kept trying. Edinson scored in from a fine move from Kenneth Mercieca and himself and the same Kenneth missed a glorious opportunity in from of goal after receiving from Edinson. In the final stages the referee Kevin Azzopardi gave the second direct red card to Chris Sciortino. He had given a straight red card to team captain Joseph Refalo for...
